If you are sailing in MSC’s Yacht Club, one of the first questions guests ask is whether they still need to purchase a separate drink package. The short answer: almost never. Yacht Club already includes MSC’s Premium Beverage Package, and for the vast majority of cruisers, that is more than enough. Below is a simple, clear breakdown of what is included, what is not, and why most guests do not need to add anything extra.

What Drinks Are Included in Yacht Club

Every Yacht Club guest automatically receives the Premium Beverage Package, which works throughout the entire ship. You can order drinks in the Yacht Club, in any bar or lounge, at specialty restaurants, and even on Ocean Cay. The Premium Beverage Package includes up to fifteen alcoholic drinks per day anywhere onboard, cocktails, mocktails, frozen drinks, beer, wine by the glass, bottled water, soda, fresh juices, smoothies and all specialty coffees. The price limit is sixteen dollars per drink and anything above that simply requires paying the difference. It is one of the most generous drink inclusions offered by any ship within a ship program. Yacht Club Suites Also Include a Stocked Minibar

All Yacht Club suites include a minibar that is refilled daily with water, beer and soft drinks. Everything inside is included at no extra cost, giving you even more convenience when relaxing in your stateroom.

What Is Not Included

A few categories fall outside the Premium Beverage Package: ultra premium spirits, high priced cocktails above the limit, bottles of wine or champagne, and tasting or pairing events. Importantly, no MSC drink package covers these items anyway, so purchasing an additional drink package will not change this. This is why upgrading or adding a drink package is unnecessary for Yacht Club guests.

Do Yacht Club Guests Need a Drink Package?

The simple answer is no. The included Premium Beverage Package offers more than enough variety and volume. If you enjoy cocktails, wine, beer, frozen drinks or specialty coffees, you are already covered. The only time a guest may pay extra is when choosing ultra premium liquor or bottles of wine, and these items are not included in any package to begin with.

Bottom Line

Yacht Club includes an excellent drink package and a fully stocked minibar. It covers fifteen alcoholic drinks, most cocktails and coffees, and nearly all wine by the glass. Because the only exclusions are items not covered by any drink package, there is no reason to purchase anything additional. If you are sailing in Yacht Club, you can confidently skip buying a package and enjoy what is already included.
